Continuing Education Made Easy!

Continuing education requirements vary from state to state, and legislation is changing as people become more aware of the importance of high-quality education in the body-health industry. The staff of Hickory Mart Shows takes great pride in facilitating this confusing process.

  • Massage therapists from all states may attend CEU-approved classes presented by Category A instructors through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Documentation of class participation will be provided for participants to send to their state boards.

  • Estheticians in the state of North Carolina need to have completed eight class hours of education approved by the NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts by the end of September every year.

  • North Carolina Cosmetologists will need to have completed the three year requirement of 24 class hours of education approved by the NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts on September 30, 2010.

  • If you are from outside the Carolinas, we welcome your participation. Please check with the governing board in your state to confirm CEU requirements; continuing education policies vary from state to state.

  • Giving further evidence of the quality of our event, Roseanne Kinley, Chair of the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology has informed us that, starting in 2007, professionals from South Carolina can earn Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits at our conference. Many South Carolinians already are regular attendees in Hickory, but this endorsement by their state board will be an added incentive to put the Southern Spa & Salon Conference on their schedule for next year.
